Pickup Truck Displaying Confederate Flag Sparks Concern In New Canaan

Many New Canaan residents are a bit on edge these days after seeing a pickup truck that is driving around town with a large Confederate flag.

The talk about the truck and its driver has been circulating on Facebook chat rooms and among neighbors. One Facebook poster said the truck has been driving "aggressively" around town.

The New Canaan Police Department said it received "a couple of calls" regarding the truck, but didn't immediately know if it has been pulled over for any reason.

One poster wrote on Tuesday the truck was "ripping through all parts of town today," especially Waveny Park and South Avenue.

Another poster said, "he revs his engine and does circles. It seems like intimidation."

Some say he blows his horn when traffic is too slow and gets right on top of other cars.
